Kurtis Busman kurtis@4mftc.com
Kurtis, our lead, hails from Western
Michigan, Coopersville to be exact, where farming was the norm and
cornfields and dairy herds were abundant. His love of music is no doubt
hereditary as he enjoyed many wonderful youthful years listening to
piano/organ duets played by his parents. The music was always passionate
and he brings that same passion to the barbershop music he sings today.
Having been introduced to this wonderful hobby in the early 90’s, Kurtis
has continued his quest to present quality singing as well as humor to
all whom he has had the pleasure to entertain. The big guy not only
sings from the heart he also wears it on his sleeve. He wouldn’t have it
any other way.
Neil Nugent neil@4mftc.com
Northern Michigan humor comes naturally
for Neil, our bass, who except for his college years has spent his life
in and around Beulah. From the banks of the Betsie River to the shore of
Crystal Lake, Neil brings all the color and flavor of the North Country
to the parodies he writes for the quartet. Now retired from the hardware
business, both Neil and his wife Linda are true barbershop fans. Besides
his quartet obligations, Neil has also become quite involved with the
“Harmony Brigade” movement sweeping the barbershop society.
Tracy Ulrich tracy@4mftc.com
Tracy, our baritone,
had his first exposure to barbershop harmony at the age of 12 when he
toured the United States with the Young Americans, playing the part of
Winthrop in the Music Man. Since then, Tracy’s had many opportunities in
musical theater, so he knows a thing or two about his craft. He often
sings with his wife Dawn, who is also an accomplished vocalist.
Mark Wilson mark@4mftc.com
